Company Overview

In 1976, Structural Composites Industries (SCI) became the world's first producer of D.O.T.-approved composite cylinders for municipal, commercial, military, marine and aerospace applications. With a safety record no other manufacturer can match, SCI is the world's most advanced manufacturer of composite cylinders.

In 2005, SCI began selling direct to the Fire & Emergency Services industry through its dealer network. Doing so has allowed SCI to bring new SCBA cylinder innovations to market that were previously unavailable though conventional respirator manufacturer’s distribution programs. As a result, considerable savings, longer life and more durable cylinder technology is available to Fire Departments when purchasing direct from SCI’s dealer network.
